Brokenness

Are you broken? Yes I am!  Now, how would you know? Can you go through the wilderness on rainy days and live on locusts and husks of maize? Can you wear clothes made of animal’s skin laced with determination and doggedness of faith? Or are you still in the cradle of comfort and delight listening to the sounds of uncertainty and doubt; Fearing the unknown and begging to be rescued from your own imaginations? Brokenness is a thing of the heart; And until you know without a doubt that God is really able to do what he has said He’d do, Then you will continue to grapple with imaginations in contrast to condescending generations- Only getting to your destination, if and only if you are truly broken!

Love in The Hands of Time

You thought it would be okay; To slip and just walk away. But little did you know that your heart will be longing for a touch, From the one you so secretly and truly admire.  I thought I could just stand there, And wonder if he’d ever have the courage to tell; But he never did yell, Even when his eyes seemed to always stare! It was a moment in passing that day, As our hearts beckoned to each other; Yet neither of us had the nerve, Nor the courage to serve. Now emotions are escalating, Our tears run freely through the pillows at night; Wondering what could have been, If you and I had taken that bold step in time; We would have been rocking each other’s world, Totally blasted in the love that we so desperately feel. And so it was never a moment in passing that day; But an opportunity of a lifetime missed, That only the hands of time if reversed, can ever revive! Written by Ewoma

The Angel in the Stranger

Once in a blue moon, One gets a rare chance to dance to the tune. But if only you knew, The Name behind the new, You would have ganered up your strength, And cooked the meal- And also offered the drink! Because, as at the time, He passed by your house, He was looking for whom to bless. But you didn’t envisage He would be one wearing such clothes of adversity, Needing help from you still lingering in obscurity! Yet, He had come with a message that could have shot you to the stars; Still you couldn’t decipher how that could ever be, Because you didn’t entertain the Angel in the Stranger! Written by Ewoma

Creativity and Innovation

There’s this stuff called creativity, And this has to do with your identity. There’s something called innovation, That brings you nomination. It’s not about following a trend, Till you get to the end. Or following a superstar, Till you end up in coal tar! It’s all about being creative, And this time, also innovative. There’s something you’ll find, That suits your creative and innovative kind- And that’s your mind! To get to your mind, You will need a tool. And you will find, That this makes you look like a fool, But you’ll always be so cool! Writtten by Evezi

GOLD IN THE MIDST OF CHAOS!

Al as, we came back, Through thick groves and swampy forests, We made it through the dark nights, And the street lights; Only to step to the other side, To find something more precious than the calamity that threatened the tide. All wrapped up in a cozy film; And to the delight of our souls; we would have given up the parade, Unless we had stopped to consider the length of the charade! But all through this, it was worth the ride, Well prepared, was the feast on our side, Into the mist which threatened to overwhelm our sight! We tried, but it seemed we had failed; Several times, over and over again; our hearts lurched in the adventures of time, Only then to realise  we were at the very brink of discovery- At dusk, standing face to face with stark reality; We had finally found precious gold right there in the midst of chaos! Thank You My Father!

Every time you mount the pulpit, My deepest spiritual needs you meet. Every time you open your mouth to sing, All of my fears and doubts you sting. Every time you lift your hands in praise, With strength and courage one more time, my hands, I can raise. Every time you preach God’s Word, With faith stirred in my heart, I know I can take that critical step forward. And each time you bring the message of hope, With longing and desire in my heart, I know I can always cope!         THANK YOU, MY FATHER! Written by Ewoma

I Stumbled into You.....

I stumbled into you, And yet I didn’t fall! Well, I just walked into your world, Amazing, and there was no wall! You always seem to bare your heart to me, and give me something to do; something to always think about. I only hope this is all so true, for I am willing to take that risk, To love again, and to take a chance on you, if only you mean what you say, and do what you mean.   Maybe we could actually take that ride into heights unknown and depths untold. For to speak is with the heart, And to actually do is with the mind. Please don’t break my heart….. I couldn’t bear it if you did! Written by Ewoma
